Children and teachers from Year 2 travelled into Birmingham City Centre on Wednesday 15th January, to the Hippodrome Theatre. Excitedly, everyone made their way to the theatre to see a grand production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs seasonal pantomime. The visit coincided with Year 2’s literacy work covering all aspects of Traditional Tales.

Everyone had a fabulous time enjoying: singing, dancing, amazing costumes and scenery and all the special effects – especially the flying green dragon; it was awesome! The highlight of the day was meeting Gok Wan who played the part of the Man in the Mirror. Some of the children were very fortunate and got to meet Gok backstage and pose for a photograph – what an experience!

A truly BRILLIANT time was had by all – “Oh no it wasn’t”. “Oh yes it was!”

In March, pupils from Year 2 will check in at the Flight School, Birmingham Airport to learn all about their new project Up Up And Away. We hope they all have their passports ready!
