Our Governing Body is made up of members from the local community, including parents and staff. Unlike some other Academies, we do not have a sponsor and remain entirely independent. The Governing Body is responsible for overseeing the educational direction of the school to ensure all our children achieve as well as they can.

Governors meet twice per term in addition to termly committee meetings. All Governors are expected to make a formal visit to the school each year to monitor the impact of their decisions and the progress the Headteacher  is making towards securing school improvement.

In addition to the Governing Body, the Academy Trust has appointed 6 Governors to serve as Company Directors (or trustees). The Board of Directors meet at least once per year for an Annual General Meeting.

Mrs Ruth Mashiter is the Company Secretary (previously known as the Clerk to the Governors) and can be contacted via the school.

The Chair of Governors is Mr Herman Stuart. If you would like to contact him please do so via the school.

Copies of all meetings of the Governing Body are available on request. Please contact the school.

From time to time we have vacancies for a parent governor. If you would like to know more about being a Parent Governor or would like to be considered as a Parent Governor when the next vacancy arises please contact the school to let us know.
