The Government have introduced a new initiative funding schools in England to provide free, hot, nutritious school meals to all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
The aim is to improve academic attainment and to save families money. Over the course of a year the average family spends £437.00 on school lunches per child.
All children at VPA eligible for a free healthy school lunch should have received a registration form before the summer break. If you believe your child should qualify for a free school meal but isn’t receiving one; please speak to a member of staff in the school office.
