Since Christmas we have found that many children have been hit by numerous illnesses and bugs which has impacted greatly on our attendance figures. We would like to say how lovely it is to see so many children back in school and who seem to be over the worst of it!
Regular attendance to school is a Government requirement and has many benefits which impact on your child’s knowledge and attainment.
Attendance figures as of Thursday 29th January 2015 are:
RH – 94.0% RM – 97.7%
1H – 95.3% 1AT – 96.0%
2MS – 97.4% 2A – 97%
3F – 96.8% 3S – 98.3%
4J – 98.1% 4B – 97.3%
5B – 93.2% 5E – 96.7%
6A – 98.3% 6F – 99.0%
Attendance token awards are still available to children who have 100% attendance, these can be swapped for small gifts on a Wednesday between 10.30am and 11.00am in the school dining hall.
We value parents and carers support in sending children to school regularly and on time; as late attenders miss so much of their learning at the beginning of the school day. We are asking that you will continue to help us to keep the school’s attendance figures as high as possible and the late figures to a minimum. Please continue to give this matter your urgent attention at all times – Thank you.
