Recently, Zoe the explorer from the Freshwater Theatre Company, came to meet the Reception children to take them on a story hunt. The story hunt visit was linked to Reception’s NICER challenge of ‘How to Tell a Story’. The children had great fun having a real life story hunter to help them!
The children were led up to the Flowery Hill where they found clues for Jack and The Beanstalk. They meandered over to the Grassy Field where they noticed clues for The Gingerbread Man. Next, they excitedly made their way to the Seaside, where they spied more clues for The Ugly Duckling and they finally ended up at a Dark Cave where they spotted clues for Goldilocks and The Three Bears!
At the end of the story hunt, the children were then able to add bear sound effects to a story which they made up with the help of the explorer.
