Shape the Future Initiative Transforms Learning Outcomes in U.K. Primary School

Victoria Park Academy in a deprived area of the U.K. has experienced an educational transformation due to the Microsoft Shape the Future Initiative in partnership with RM. Pupils, many of whom with English as a second language, are becoming confident assured learners. They use the Microsoft Learning Suite on portable devices in innovative ways to enhance their development and skills. Teachers, parents, carers, and school governors see this initiative as crucial to continuing improvements in pupil achievement and outcomes. The biggest single impact has been on home learning with children able to research and problem solve around a topic before attending lessons. Parents are now much more engaged with their children’s learning and in turn children are more motivated.
