Our annual Sports Day took place on Friday 13th June and ran very well – we were able to take advantage of the glorious British weather! It was, in essence, a step back in time as the old favourites came out of the woodwork! The egg and spoon race, sack race and 3 legged race featured as part of this year’s events. These events were enjoyed by both Key Stage 1 and 2. Key stage 2 children in Years 5 and 6 also battled with the long jump, bean bag toss and the shuttle relays.
The afternoon saw the turn of children in Key Stage 1. They had much of the same disciplines to tackle, except that their obstacle course saw them dressing up before jumping into the sack and heading for the finish line!
Much fun was had by all and a BIG ‘thank you’ goes out to parents for attending and supporting their children and to staff for helping with the general running of the day.
