Definition of Pop-Up Museum – a short-term set-up existing in a temporary space.
After weeks of eager anticipation, the day has finally arrived!
Today (20th March 2013), we witnessed the ‘Grand Opening’ of our very own Pop-Up Museum. Children and staff from Year 3 invited Head Teacher Mr A. Morrish, members of the schools leadership Team and Julia Kirby from Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery to share in this auspicious occasion.
Mr Morrish eagerly cut the commemorative ribbon and along with the children, declared that the museum was open! A round of applause broke out and the sound of cheers could be heard from a short distance away.
During parents’ evening the museum was open to parents and members of the community to take a look at the children’s hard work. Many people stopped to leave very favourable comments in our visitors’ book.
The Pop-Up Museum is available to view until Monday 25th March.
