As part of their NICER Challenge, Year 5 has been learning about castles, knights, weaponry and all things medieval. These areas have been researched, written about and where possible experienced with a ‘hands on’ approach.
Realising that bows and arrows are not toys, our children had experts on hand to demonstrate and oversee the smooth and accurate running of their archery day.
The children learned about safety procedures and technical details to enable them all to hit the target; some children were even able to find the bullseye!
