Friday 13th November is Children in Need Day across the country. Here at Victoria Park Academy, we will be celebrating the occasion with a ‘Bad Hair Day’. To help raise funds for the Children in Need charity, we are asking the children to wear non-school uniform and take part in re-styling their hair in any way they wish!

The cost of joining in the fun is 50p, which we will donate to Children in Need; to help make a difference to all those disadvantaged children across the UK who need our support.

The children can attend school in fun and colourful clothes and hair styles, being as vibrant and as whacky as possible!

BBC Children in Need is the BBC’s UK corporate charity. With the support of the public, they are able to make a real difference to the lives of children all across the UK.

Their vision is that every child in the UK has a childhood which is:

Safe
Happy and Secure
Allows them the chance to reach their full potential.

The charity provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. They are local to people in all corners of the UK and support small and large organisations which empower children and extend their life choices.

Please support this very worthwhile cause.
