As you know we held our own unique marathon event on Friday 29th June. I am pleased to report that the children covered the full distance of a full marathon, carrying our own VP-designed torch in a time of 3hours 35 minutes and 22 seconds. We were very lucky as the weather stayed dry for the event.
We were proud to have Local Hero Karl Hinett start our marathon off and we had a real treat as Dawn Bayliss (one of the Olympic torch carriers) brought an actual Olympic Torch to school to show staff and children. We would like to thank Karl, Dawn and all of the children for making it a very special day
