The doors will open for the first time to children who are attending our new Sunflower Seeds Breakfast Club, here at Victoria Park Primary Academy, on Monday 6th October at 8.00am.

Our Breakfast Club provides before school care for children between the ages of 4 – 11 years old.  We offer fun, energetic and interesting activities in a warm, friendly, secure and familiar environment on the school premises.

Our new breakfast club will run every morning from 8.00am until the start of the school day. At 8.45am the children will be escorted by the breakfast club staff outside onto the school playground, where they will be taken to line up with their class; this will enable them to walk to their classroom with their teacher, ready to start the school day on time.

The cost of the breakfast club provision is £2.00 per child, per day (£10 per week) this is to be paid to the breakfast club manager a week in advance. A receipt will be issued; as these can be used if you are claiming tax credits.

We will offer a healthy breakfast providing a choice of options – toast, cereal, fresh fruit and a choice of water, milk or fresh fruit juice. Indoor activities will be set out for the children to choose – games, table top activities, books, construction toys and creative activities.

The club will be managed by Mrs C Peart who is a qualified HLTA, who possess more than 10 years post KS1 and KS2 experience.  Mrs M Kaur and Mrs P McDonald are both LSP’s with numerous years of experience and are located in KS1. Members of the staffing team are qualified in first aid and have been selected for their commitment, enthusiasm and caring nature.

Our Aims

To provide a fun, caring, happy, safe and stimulating environment for children and staff before the school day.

To offer a wide and interesting range of different activities which will allow children to use their energies constructively and to relax appropriately before the school day.

To help to provide parents with a stress-free, reliable, open and honest service, with as much flexibility as possible.

To provide children with a healthy, substantial breakfast at the start of the school day.

We aim to encourage all children to develop a positive self-image, confidence and independence together with a respect and understanding of other children and adults regardless of their colour, race, religion, special needs or gender.
