Welcome to year 3!

The teachers are: Miss Blackstock and Mrs Pahal, Mr Waldron and Miss Uppal.  The support staff are Mrs Kaur and Mrs Nawaz

In year 3, we support the transition from KS1 to KS2.  Children will continue to develop the independence that was encouraged in year 2.  We aim to deliver a broad and creative curriculum where children will be fully immersed in our amazing challenge packs, innovating, designing and creating their own outcomes.

We will encourage and support children to seize success and achieve their full potential in all that they do.  Children will enjoy: Around the world in 80 eats, A day at the museum and Catastrophe, where they will deepen their historical and geographical understanding of the world around them.

Homework:

You are encouraged to read every day for 10 minutes with an adult at home and to use Reading Plus when you can. 

Each week you have 10 spellings to learn which will be tested in class each Friday. 

Your other weekly home learning is to practice your times tables and prepare for next week’s NICER learning.
