This year, Year 3’s Pop-up Museum was launched in The Hub at Victoria Park. Children, staff and visitors gathered at the Hub to admire their handy work. Year 3 children listened with pride as Mr Morrish thanked them all for their hard work and declared the museum open to the public.

Over the course of the week, the museum was open to all of the children at Victoria Park Primary Academy; as well as members of the wider community.  All classes were given a time tabled slot so that they could visit the museum with their class teacher.  It was a GREAT encouragement to Year 3 to see that some of the children returned with their parents after school.

The highlights of the Museum were the wonderful artefacts made by Year 3.  The children enjoyed learning about the different varieties of artefacts available, dressing up in clothes from different periods of time and playing with toys from another era.  The Gift Shop was also an overwhelming success. The museum was researched, planned and implemented as part of Year 3’s Spring NICER Challenge – A Day at the Museum.

Year 3 staff and children would like to thank everyone for their support.
