Year 5 recently travelled to Ludlow Castle in the depths of the Shropshire countryside as a hook for their NICER ‘Castle Attack’ topic.

Children and staff took their time to explore the grounds. Fun was had whilst they climbed up to the top of the tower, discovered dungeons and even took part in a battle!

There was lots to see and do at Ludlow, particularly as the castle is steeped in English history; this aided the children’s learning and inspired them as they prepared to begin their new topic area.

Everyone had a fantastic day and the children and staff can’t wait to get stuck in to their new ‘Castle Attack’ topic.
