The Year 6 children and staff are working incredibly hard at the moment on making this year’s leaver’s production of The Lion King the best yet!
It all began a few weeks ago with the auditions; since then the children have been frantically rehearsing their lines with their scripts being taken with them everywhere! The scenery is painted and provides a wonderful backdrop to the quality singing, dancing and acting appearing on the stage. Costumes and props are being gathered and the melodious sound of ‘Hakuna Matata’ and ‘I Just Can’t wait to be King’ can be heard resounding around every corner of VPA!
The Performance will take place in the school hall on Tuesday 15th July; doors will open at 4.40pm for a prompt 5.00pm start. Tickets are on sale now from the school office at a cost of £1.00 per ticket. Last year’s production was a sell-out, so we advise that you book early to avoid disappointment as there are limited spaces.
Please come and meet Simba, Mufasa, Nala and Scar to name but a few of the characters and support the children before they embark on a new adventure at their secondary schools. They have worked incredibly hard and would value your support.
